Finiata is a fintech company specializing in embedded lending and risk assessment for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Its data-driven platform enables fast and flexible access to working capital by processing funding applications in real time. By seamlessly integrating financial solutions into non-financial platforms, Finiata simplifies business lending, offering SMEs scalable, transparent, and efficient financing solutions.

I designed a comprehensive end-to-end prototype for the Purchase Facility API. This product is designed to support businesses with working capital and facilitate the acquisition of goods and services by offering a deferred payment option of up to 90 days under a revolving credit line.

I collaborated with Finiata’s product team to design the main application flows, with a strong focus on optimizing the mobile user experience. By analyzing the user journey alongside both user and business goals, we developed a UX strategy aimed at enhancing engagement and usability. Our approach included:

• Minimizing effort and maintaining motivation by breaking down complex tasks into manageable steps.
• Providing clear explanations for why each piece of information was required.
• Identifying and refining the product’s ‘aha’ moment to drive user engagement.
• Presenting each step transparently to ensure clarity and ease of use.
• Displaying real-time feedback to highlight the impact of user actions instantly.

This strategy helped streamline the user experience while ensuring a seamless and intuitive onboarding process.
